UOR Representatives Participate in Training on Revised NBEAC Accreditation Standards

University of Rawalpindi participated in the two-day training “Accreditation Strategies: Understanding the Revised NBEAC Accreditation Standards,” held on 28–29 September 2026 at University of Lahore.

Ms. Areej Ashfaq, Assistant Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), and  Mr.Zeeshan Sikandar, Assistant Manager HR, represented UOR at the training, which brought together representatives from universities across Pakistan for professional learning and knowledge exchange.

Led by Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Secretary, National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), the training focused on understanding the revised accreditation framework and strengthening institutional readiness. Key areas included strategic management, curriculum, student support, faculty development, research and development, external linkages and outreach, and institutional resources.

The sessions emphasized the importance of evidence-based self-assessment, effective policy implementation, accurate documentation, and continuous review as key components of quality assurance and accreditation preparedness.

The training also provided UOR representatives with an opportunity to exchange experiences with professionals from other higher education institutions and gain insights into common accreditation challenges and practices. The knowledge gained will contribute to UOR’s ongoing efforts to strengthen quality assurance processes, improve institutional coordination, and support accreditation readiness.
