What is the eligibility criteria?

• For BSCS, ADPCS, BSSE, ADPSE, ADP Cybersecurity, ADPAI & ADP Data Science: Intermediate or equivalent level with Mathematics (F.Sc/FA/I.Com/ICS/A Levels or equivalent) with at least 50% marks.

For all other Degree Programs: Intermediate or equivalent level (F.Sc/FA/I.Com/ICS/A Levels or equivalent) with at least 45% marks.

For ADP Programs: Intermediate or equivalent level with at least 35% marks.

Is Entry Test' or NTS Score Required?

No, entry test or NTS score is not required for Fall-2025 admissions. However, all applicants must appear for a mandatory admissions interview as part of the selection process.
Note: Scholarship test is currently not being offered.

Can I still apply if my results are pending?

Yes, you can apply for any degree program even if your results are pending. Applicants are often given deadlines to submit official documents, allowing them time to provide results once they become available..

When does the university begin its intake?

The university begins its intake for the academic year from May 2025 to September 2025. Approaching students should aim to complete their application processes within this intake period to ensure consideration for admission.

What are the operating hours and days of the admission office?

The Admission Office operates from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Does the university offer hostel accommodation?

UOR offers high-quality on-campus accommodation for female students, and off-campus accommodation for male students, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

Is the admission processing fee refundable if the student is unable to join?

The admission fee is refundable under specific conditions: it will be refunded only if the student achieves less than 45% in their Inter (Intermediate) exams. If the student achieves 45% or higher, the admission fee becomes non-refundable.

What are the conditions for the cancellation of enrolment or admission, and how can students be re-admitted?

Cancellation of Enrolment

If a student fails to attend any lecture during the first four weeks after the commencement of the semester as per the announced schedule, his/her enrolment/admission shall stand cancelled automatically without any notification.

Cancellation of Admission

Admission of student shall be cancelled if:

• Presentation of false/forged/fraudulent information/documents (no re-admission shall be given)
• Students did not submit their required documents within six weeks of the commencement of classes
• Dues are not paid on the scheduled date

Re-Admission

Defaulters of 100% fee in respective semester can be re admitted twice in an academic career on payment of re admission fee along with the outstanding dues as prescribed by the University.

SCHOLARSHIP AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY

The University of Rawalpindi offers scholarships for students to encourage excellence in studies by rewarding high academic achievers through various types of scholarships.

1. Merit Scholarship for Intermediate Board High Achievers
(For Undergraduate programs)

• 100% Fee Waiver in tuition fee for Board Position holders of all BISE in the country
• 20% Fee Waiver in tuition fee for having 90% and above marks in Intermediate
• 10% Fee Waiver in tuition fee for having 80% to 89.99% marks in intermediate

Note: The above-mentioned scholarship will be applicable only for the 1st Semester.

2. High Achiever Scholarship (Academic Performance Basis)

• The high achiever student in a degree program with outstanding performance will be granted a fee waiver in his/her next semester, as per the following dissemination:
  • a) GPA of 3.91 and above 50% Fee Waiver in the next semester
  • b) GPA of 3.76 to 3.90 25% Fee Waiver in the next semester
  • c) GPA of 3.50 to 3.75 10% Fee Waiver in the next semester
• The scholarship awarded student must be regular during the semester, not failure in any course, and must not be involved in any misconduct.

3. Special Scholarships (Financial Assistance)

• The University will offer Need Based scholarships to students having financial constraints. All such cases will be scrutinized by the financial assistance committee, and granted after the final approval of the competent authorities.
• The University will grant a 20% waiver in the tuition fee for the second and onward siblings of the current/bonafide student.
• The University will grant a 10% waiver in tuition fee on “Early Bird Discount” basis on the entire degree program at the time of Admission, upon the approval of the competent authorities.

NOTE:

• It is declared that a student can avail only ONE scholarship at a time.
• If a student stands eligible for multiple scholarships at one time, then the higher one will be considered/implemented.
• Allotment of scholarship / financial assistance will be granted after the approval of the Scholarship committee and competent authorities of the university.
• The university reserves the right to change or amend the scholarship policy from time to time, as and when required.
