University of Rawalpindi (UOR) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with three leading Turkish universities, Gazi University, Yıldız Technical University, and Hacettepe University , strengthening opportunities for academic collaboration, research partnerships and international academic exchange between Pakistan and Türkiye.

The MoUs will support collaboration in student and faculty mobility, joint research, academic exchange, student placements, thesis research, and short term academic and training programmes. The agreements were signed during the visit of a high level Turkish higher education delegation to Pakistan, led by Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE/YÖK), Türkiye. The visit brought together higher education institutions from both countries to explore stronger academic and research cooperation.

For University Of Rawalpindi community the partnerships create new avenues for international learning, research collaboration and academic exchange. Students can benefit from opportunities such as placements and short term programmes, while faculty and researchers can develop connections with Turkish universities through joint academic and research activities.

These new international academic partnerships mark an important step in University of Rawalpindi’s efforts to build stronger connections with universities beyond Pakistan and create opportunities for its students, faculty and researchers to learn, collaborate and engage with the wider global academic community.
