University of Rawalpindi Explores Academic Collaboration with Universitas Islam Indonesia

University of Rawalpindi continues to strengthen its international academic engagement through a partnership meeting with Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), held at UII’s Integrated Campus on August 27, 2026. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for academic cooperation and developing meaningful avenues for future collaboration between the two universities.

Representing University of Rawalpindi, Prof. Dr. Fahim Arif, Head of the Department of Computing and Intelligent Systems, participated in the meeting as part of UOR’s ongoing efforts to expand its global academic network and establish connections with international higher education institutions.

The meeting provided an opportunity for representatives of both universities to exchange ideas and discuss areas of mutual interest. Discussions explored potential cooperation in education, technology, research, academic networking, and knowledge exchange, with a focus on creating stronger academic connections and opportunities for students and faculty.

International academic collaboration can contribute significantly to the development of higher education by encouraging the exchange of knowledge, expertise, innovative practices, and academic perspectives. Such engagements can also create opportunities for research cooperation, faculty interaction, student learning, and the development of collaborative academic initiatives.

The engagement with Universitas Islam Indonesia reflects UOR’s commitment to expanding its international academic outreach and developing partnerships that support education, innovation, research, and knowledge sharing. Through continued engagement with international institutions, UOR is working to broaden its academic network and create opportunities for its students and faculty to connect with the global higher education community.

This engagement also builds upon UOR’s recent international initiatives, including its discussions with Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia. During that engagement, both institutions explored potential areas of cooperation including academic collaboration, faculty and student engagement, joint research, and collaborative teaching.

UOR’s growing international engagement supports its broader vision of providing students and faculty with exposure to diverse academic perspectives, emerging technologies, research opportunities, and international knowledge networks. These connections can contribute to academic development while encouraging the exchange of ideas and expertise across institutions and countries.

University of Rawalpindi looks forward to building upon its engagement with Universitas Islam Indonesia and exploring further opportunities for cooperation in education, technology, research, academic networking, and knowledge exchange.

The meeting marks another step in UOR’s efforts to strengthen its global academic presence and develop meaningful international partnerships that contribute to the advancement of higher education and create valuable opportunities for its academic community.
