UoR Joins UI GreenMetric 2025
University of Rawalpindi has been officially included in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, positioning the institution among a global community of universities dedicated towards advancing sustainability, responsible resource management, and greener campuses.
This is UoR’s first year of participation: an important milestone considering that the University is just in its second year of operation. By voluntarily entering the ranking at an early stage, UoR aims to establish a clear and transparent benchmark for its environmental performance. The evaluation covers key areas such as energy efficiency, waste management, water conservation, sustainable transportation, and sustainability-focused education.
UoR’s decision to undergo international assessment reflects the University’s commitment to accountability, openness, and long-term growth. Instead of waiting to build a perfect profile, UoR chose to be assessed from the beginning, fortifying its goal of showing measurable progress year after year. This achievement marks the start of a structured, data-driven journey toward building a greener, more sustainable campus for the future.
