UOR Hosts Workshop on Youth Leadership, Peacebuilding, and Climate Action
University of Rawalpindi (UOR) organized an interactive workshop titled “Youth Leadership for Peace Building and Climate Action: Pathways for Civic Engagement” on 19 June 2026 under the Civics and Community Engagement course. The session aimed to equip students with practical knowledge on civic responsibility, peacebuilding, sustainability, and the role of youth in driving positive social change.
The workshop featured Mr. Ahmad Raza, a peace education practitioner and youth engagement specialist, who shared insights on youth-led initiatives in peacebuilding, climate action, and community development. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, students explored the importance of civic participation, conflict resolution, and sustainable development in addressing contemporary challenges.
The session emphasized the significance of active citizenship and highlighted the connection between education, climate action, and peaceful societies. Students gained valuable perspectives on leadership, community engagement, and the practical implementation of initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The workshop reflected UOR’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible and community-oriented future leaders.
