University of Rawalpindi (UOR) organized the Entrepreneurship Gala 2025 from December 11 to 13, providing students with hands-on exposure to entrepreneurial practices through a campus-based marketplace.
Organized by the Department of Applied Business and Economics, the three-day gala enabled students to conceptualize, brand, market, and sell real products and services. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world business application.
The event featured interdisciplinary collaboration, with students from the Department of Applied Business and Economics, student societies, and the Department of Digital Design and Computer Arts working together to design stalls, develop brand identities, and interact directly with customers.
Several external evaluators, including representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA), and senior academicians, assessed student stalls based on innovation, feasibility, marketing strategy, and professional conduct.
The team “Sweet Circles,” represented by Rafay Waseem and Zarnab Fatima, secured first position for their effective execution, customer engagement, and business strategy. Certificates were distributed by university leadership at the concluding ceremony.
The Entrepreneurship Gala 2025 reflected UOR’s commitment to experiential, skills-based education, encouraging innovation, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
