The spotlight was theirs - and they owned it. University of Rawalpindi's students took center stage at the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) for HEC’s prestigious inter-university drama competition. Their performance? A powerful, heartfelt rendition of “نشے سے انکار، زندگی سے پیار” (Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life), a bold narrative urging the youth to rise above addiction and choose a life worth living. In front of a packed auditorium filled with peers, educators, and cultural leaders, UOR students brought to life a gripping story that struck a nerve, and a chord. From riveting monologues to gut-wrenching silences, every scene pulled the audience deeper into a world where choices define futures.
“This wasn’t just acting. It was truth wrapped in performance,” one official remarked. “They told a story that needs to be heard in every school, every home, every heart.” More than just a performance, the play was a call to action. It sparked conversation, evoked emotion, and most importantly, inspired change. The passion, professionalism, and emotional depth shown by the UOR team didn’t just raise eyebrows, it raised awareness.
The event served not only as a platform to showcase creative talent but also as a medium to ignite vital conversations about drug awareness and prevention. The message was clear: addiction is a battle worth fighting, and life is always worth loving. University of Rawalpindi applauds its students not only for their artistic excellence but for using their voices for a cause that truly matters. Students proved that art has the power to challenge, inspire, and transform. We are immensely proud of our young actors for representing the university with such grace, conviction, and social consciousness.
