University of Rawalpindi Students Participated in a Consultative Session on Bano Shaheen Social Agenda
University of Rawalpindi students participated in a consultative session on the Bano Shaheen Social Agenda, held on Friday, 4th September 2026, at the S&T Building, Red Zone, Islamabad.
The initiative operates with the support of Federal Minister Prof. Ahsan Iqbal and the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, providing a broader platform for young people to engage in discussions on social issues and contribute their perspectives.
The session brought together young participants from chapters based in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi area to discuss issues related to youth and society. Zoyia Aiman, Awais Rehman, Aman Shakeel, and Samreen Bano represented UOR and actively took part in the discussions, sharing their perspectives and listening to the views of other participants.
During the session, participants discussed a range of youth-related issues, focusing on the role of young people in addressing social challenges and contributing to positive change. Women’s rights and safety were also an important part of the discussion, with participants sharing their perspectives on the challenges faced by women and the need for greater awareness, respect, and safer communities.
The consultative session provided University of Rawalpindi students with an opportunity to express their ideas, learn from different perspectives, and engage in open dialogue on issues that affect young people and society. Their participation reflects the value of giving students a voice in conversations around social development and community issues.
University of Rawalpindi encourages its students to participate in meaningful platforms that extend learning beyond the classroom.
