University of Rawalpindi Signs MoU with NCHD for Each One Teach One Program

University of Rawalpindi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) on 5 October 2026 for the implementation of the Each One Teach One Program.

The initiative aims to promote literacy, education, and community engagement by encouraging individuals to support and educate people who have limited access to learning opportunities. Through this collaboration, University of Rawalpindi students and faculty members will have opportunities to participate in community-based educational activities, contribute to literacy promotion, and play an active role in local community development.

The MoU signing ceremony brought together representatives from NCHD and University of Rawalpindi. Dr. Muhammad Abubakar, Chairman, Board of Governors, University of Rawalpindi, attended the ceremony alongside Dr. Tahir Zubair, Deputy Director, NCHD. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Ali Asghar, Director General, NCHD; Mr. Syed Akbar, Director Literacy and Focal Person, NCHD; Mr. Hassan, NCHD Representative; and Dr. Saniya Moazzam, Assistant Professor and Focal Person, University of Rawalpindi.

The collaboration creates a meaningful link between higher education and community development, giving UOR students practical opportunities to engage with communities beyond the classroom. Through their involvement in educational and literacy activities, students can further develop social responsibility, leadership, communication, teamwork, and community-service skills.

The partnership reflects University of Rawalpindi’s continued commitment to educational empowerment, literacy promotion, social development, and meaningful university community engagement through initiatives that connect students with real community needs.
