University of Rawalpindi Organises Breast Cancer Awareness Session

University of Rawalpindi, through its Community Impact Society, organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Session in collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre on 5 November 2026 at the University’s Seminar Hall.

The session featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Anila, Dr. Fareeha, and Ms. Fareen, Executive – Corporate Resource Development. The speakers shared valuable insights into breast cancer awareness, early detection, common warning signs, and the importance of timely medical consultation. Their discussions highlighted the role of awareness and informed decision-making in promoting early diagnosis and better health outcomes.

The session provided students with an opportunity to learn about an important public health issue, understand the significance of early detection, and recognise their role in spreading awareness within their families and communities.

Organised under the supervision of Dr. Saniya Moazzam, Assistant Professor and Focal Person, Community Impact Society, the initiative reflects the University of Rawalpindi’s commitment to community engagement, health awareness, and social responsibility.
