University of Rawalpindi Marks Successful Completion of HEC-NAHE Mentorship Program
University of Rawalpindi (UOR) held the closing and certificate distribution ceremony of its Mentorship Program for Universities (MPU) on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. Conducted in alignment with the initiatives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), the program focused on strengthening the personal and professional capabilities of faculty members, administrative staff, and students through structured mentorship.
Dr. Muhammad Abubakar, Rector, University of Rawalpindi, and Dr. Abdul Waheed, MPU Chairperson, presented certificates to the participants in recognition of their participation in the program.
During the ceremony, participants shared their experiences, reflections,, and key learning outcomes from the mentorship program. Dr. Muhammad Abubakar also interacted with the participants and discussed their experiences and professional development throughout the initiative.
The program brought together students, faculty members, and administrative staff and covered areas including communication skills, leadership development, inclusivity and diversity, ethical mentoring, professionalism, psychological well-being, and the responsible use of digital and AI tools.
The initiative enabled participants to exchange knowledge, enhance professional competencies, and learn collaboratively across diverse areas of the university community. Its completion reflects the University of Rawalpindi's continued commitment to professional development and fostering a collaborative learning environment, in alignment with the broader vision of HEC and NAHE.
