University of Rawalpindi (UOR) continues to strengthen its commitment to community engagement and social development through academic partnerships and outreach initiatives.

On 4 June 2026, Dr. Saniya Moazzam, Assistant Professor at UOR, represented the university during a visit to the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Literacy Resource Center, Islamabad, for an orientation and briefing session on the “Each One Reach One (EOTO)” Literacy Program. The delegation also included Mr. Syed Akbar (Director) and Mr. Tahir Zubair (Deputy Director).

The purpose of the visit was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the EOTO initiative, including its implementation framework, curriculum design, and community-based literacy strategies. NCHD officials briefed the delegation on the organization’s mission to promote literacy across Pakistan and highlighted the role of volunteer-driven teaching in improving education access at the grassroots level.

During the session, potential areas of collaboration were discussed, particularly focusing on student volunteer engagement, community outreach programs, and the possibility of launching the EOTO initiative at the University of Rawalpindi. The program strongly aligns with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Quality Education, Gender Equality, Reduced Inequalities, and Partnerships for the Goals.

The visit concluded with a mutual interest in developing a structured collaboration framework to promote literacy and encourage students’ active participation in community development initiatives.
