  • PBC Conducts Inspection of Proposed LL.B Programme at University of Rawalpindi

University of Rawalpindi welcomed a delegation from the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) on 16 July 2026 for an official inspection of its proposed LL.B programme under the applicable legal education framework.

The delegation comprised Syed Qalb-i-Hassan, Chairman of the Legal Education Committee, Pakistan Bar Council, and Mr Gulzar Ahmad, Secretary, Pakistan Bar Council. They were received by Dr Muhammad Abubakar, Chairman, Board of Governors and Rector, along with the Registrar, Director Coordination and representatives of the Faculty of Law.

During the visit, the University presented an overview of its institutional governance, academic planning and arrangements for the proposed programme. The delegation inspected classrooms, the moot court, law library, faculty offices and administrative facilities.

The inspection team also reviewed faculty profiles and qualifications, proposed course outlines, library holdings and digital resources, and relevant academic and administrative records to assess the University’s preparedness against the applicable Pakistan Bar Council requirements.

The visit provided an opportunity for constructive engagement on academic quality, professional legal education, faculty development and the continued enhancement of learning resources. University representatives briefed the delegation on the institution’s commitment to maintaining regulatory standards and providing a professionally oriented environment for legal education.

University of Rawalpindi appreciates the guidance of the Pakistan Bar Council and remains committed to completing the prescribed regulatory process and maintaining high academic and professional standards in legal education.
