The Department of Applied Business and Economics, University of Rawalpindi, organized Case Study Presentation Sessions for BBA and BSAF (1st Semester) students on 23rd January 2026 at UOR Conference Room.
The activity was designed to strengthen students’ analytical, research, presentation, and teamwork skills by exposing them to real-world business environments at an early stage of their academic journey. As part of the initiative, students conducted case studies on organizations from diverse sectors, focusing on business models, operational challenges, and managerial practices through structured SWOT analyses.
Student groups adopted an action-based learning approach by collecting data from organizational websites, published annual reports, and interviews with management personnel. Based on their analysis, students identified key organizational issues and proposed practical and sustainable solutions.
The presentation sessions were attended by industry representatives from Ahdus Trachten Exports and United Bank Limited (UBL), who actively engaged with students by asking critical questions, sharing professional insights, and providing constructive feedback. The industry guests appreciated the depth of analysis, clarity of presentations, and relevance of the proposed recommendations.
The activity was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing UOR’s commitment to experiential and industry-linked learning.
The Department of Applied Business and Economics acknowledged the valuable contribution of the industry representatives, whose participation significantly enhanced the practical relevance and learning outcomes of the sessions.
