On 6 November 2025, the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) conducted a comprehensive inspection of University of Rawalpindi to assess its readiness for the proposed Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programme. This evaluation is an essential step in ensuring the university meets national standards for pharmacy education.


Comprehensive Evaluation by PCP Panel
The PCP panel carried out an in-depth review, focusing on key areas critical to the programme’s success:
•    Curriculum Alignment: Ensuring the Pharm.D curriculum meets PCP accreditation standards.
•    Laboratory Facilities: Examining state-of-the-art pharmacy labs and practical learning resources.
•    Teaching Methods: Evaluating the university's teaching practices and student engagement strategies.
•    Faculty Expertise: Reviewing the qualifications and experience of the Pharm.D faculty.
•    Learning Environment: Assessing academic support systems and the overall student experience.

The panel also evaluated UOR's capacity to deliver quality education, including:
•    Practical Training: Opportunities for hands-on experience and clinical exposure.
•    Institutional Readiness: Ensuring the university is prepared to offer pharmaceutical education in line with national standards.
